Okorocha demolish PDP Security House.

Two days after the  Directorate of New Media IMO PDP unveiled the pictures of bad roads including inner link roads and bypass within the metropolis of Owerri, the IMO State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha on Wednesday ordered for the demolition of the Security Building housing the new PDP state Secretariat at No 98 Okigwe Road Owerri describing the demolished Structure as a Shanty which is against the urban renewal programme of the State Governor.

Members of combined team of Security Agencies and  operatives of  Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA) had arrived the premises of the state Secretariat  with the instructions of the State Governor to knock down the Security House of the New State Party Secretariat.

Political followers, analyst and political pundits believe the Governor might have been angered and triggered with release of recent pictures of bad roads in town including roads in Toronto, Orji, Egbu, Aladinma, Works layout, Bishops  court, Imsu Samek Roads, Prefab,  World bank, Port Harcourt Road, Relief Roads, D Tiger , shoprite Roads etc by members of PDP New Media Directorate which informed and necessitated the decision of the State Governor to silence the voice and existence of the leading opposition party in IMO state.

The Director General IMO PDP New Media, Comr AIC Akwarandu in his reaction after the demolition exercise said the party is not worried nor  perturbed about the latest ugly and unfortunate action of the State Governor.

The New Media DG said OCDA officials this morning demolished the security house of the People's Democratic Party in Imo State.

 According to them, they were acting on orders from the above who pointed the said structure as a Shanty.

 One wonders how a security house can be described as a Shanty leaving the fence that guides it.

The party However is not perturbed as party activities are still going on as scheduled. The act of cowardice by the Ruling APC has been noted. The PDP cannot be intimidated by mere demolition threats. The party is working hard to ensure that there is fresh air in Imo come 2019. A government that will respect the poor and the rich. A government that will serve the people. A government that will respect opposition, understanding that they are doing their functions to make government work. Imolites can not wait says Akwarandu.

It is now becoming obvious that the state Governor is prone to opposition and criticism and IMO people must resist any attempt by the Governor to use force and intimidation against the opposition party in IMO state.
